Privacy — draft

Draft for the owner’s review. This describes what the product does with what you give it, in the words the product already keeps to. It is not final and it is not legal advice.

1. Who holds your data

Possena, operated by [legal entity] of [registered address]. Questions about anything here go to [support email].

2. What we hold, and why

The documents you upload, kept exactly as you sent them. The facts read out of them, each tied to the passage that states it. Job postings you add or link to. Search intent — the roles, places and conditions you tell us about. Transcripts of voice notes you choose to send. Your account: an email address, and a payment reference if you buy something. We hold each of these to do the thing you asked for, and for nothing else.

3. Before you have an account

You can start without one. The first thing you do begins an anonymous session, so an upload survives a refresh and belongs to you; signing up later claims it. If you never come back, that session and everything in it expires after fourteen days and is removed.

4. Your voice

Audio goes from your microphone straight to the speech-to-text service over a link this server signs and never sees again. No recording of your voice reaches our servers or our storage. The transcript is the only thing that does, and only when you send it. Audio, transcript and confirmed fact are three separate things.

5. Who else sees it

We use a small number of services to run the product, and text you give us may pass through them:

  • Supabase — the database, sign-in, and the storage your original documents sit in.
  • Amazon Web Services (Bedrock) — the models that read a posting and write an application. Your résumé text and the posting reach them.
  • Amazon Transcribe — speech to text, straight from your browser.
  • Netlify — hosting, and therefore the request logs any web server keeps.
  • Stripe — payments, once payments are switched on. Card details go to Stripe and never to us.

Your material is not sold, and it is not used to train anybody’s model.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, because that is what makes the work yours to come back to. Ask for the account to be deleted and career and voice content is erased after a twenty-four hour window in which you can change your mind. Records of payments and credits are kept for audit against your account reference, because a ledger that can be edited is not a ledger.

7. What you can do

Export everything the account holds, at any time, from Settings. Delete the account, with the window above. Mark any single fact private, and it stays out of everything written for you. Change your mind about cookies, below. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — asking is still free.

8. Cookies

There are no advertising cookies on this site and no third-party trackers. The cookies it sets are the ones it needs:

  • Your session — set by sign-in, so the site knows it is you.
  • ca_anon — the anonymous session described in §3, so work done before you sign up is still yours afterwards. Fourteen days.
  • ca_composer — what you typed into the box on the front page, held for the screen that asks you about it. Fourteen days.
  • A referral marker, if you arrived from someone’s invitation, so the credit reaches them.

Clearing your browser’s cookies for this site removes all of them. Doing that while signed out also drops any anonymous session, and the work in it goes with it.

9. Children

This is a service for people looking for work and it is not intended for children. We do not knowingly hold data about anyone under sixteen.

10. Open for the owner’s review

The legal entity, its registered address and the support address; the applicable statutes (Quebec Law 25, PIPEDA, U.S. state law) and their specific obligations, including whether a privacy officer must be named; the retention periods for payment records; the effective date; and whether a data processing agreement is offered to organizations. None of these is written here, deliberately.
